I purchased this item from a different website, but still got a good deal and quick shipping. The pan itself first seemed different than what I was used to. The sides are sloped outwards towards the top of the pan, which means the bottom is a bit narrower than a typical straight-sided pan. I actually like this design because I can use my rounded wooden spoons to stir everything in the pan and can scoop everything on the sides.

It is deep enough to make a good quantity of sauce, boil water for cooking pasta for 2, etc. The lip on the pan is flared out (best I can describe it) so that you can pour liquids out of the pan and not have a dripping mess down the side of the pan.

I've made oatmeal in this a few times and I like it because the bottom and sides are thick, 7-layers which means no burnt areas like my last disc-bottomed pot. I cook oatmeal with milk, so I have always had a problem with a sticky gooey mess no matter what pot I use to cook in. However,... Read more
